Ingredients:
- 1 lb 450g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups 400g jasmine rice, rinsed
- 1 cup 240ml beef broth
- 1/4 cup 60ml soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup 120ml water
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and sugar to create the marinade
Add thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all slices are well-coated
Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes
Rinse jasmine rice and place it in a stainless steel pot that fits inside the Instant Pot
Add beef broth to the rice in the pot
Place a trivet over the rice
Place marinated beef slices on a heatproof dish that fits on the trivet
In a separate bowl, mix minced garlic, grated ginger, and vegetable oil
Spread this mixture over the beef slices
Pour water into the Instant Pot and place the beef-filled dish on the trivet above the rice
Close the Instant Pot lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes
Allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure
Carefully open the lid, garnish with sliced green onions, and fluff the rice
Serve the garlic beef over rice and enjoy
