Paleo Pie Crust

A primal-friendly paleo pie crust made with cassava flour that is free of grains and nuts.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cassava flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Set oven temperature to 175C 350F

Mix the salt and cassava flour together in a mixing bowl

To the flour mixture, add water and melted coconut oil

Stir to form a dough

Evenly press the dough into the bottom and sides of a pie dish

To avoid air bubbles, prick the bottom of the crust with a fork

For 10 to 12 minutes, or until gently golden brown, bake in a preheated oven

Before filling, remove from oven and allow to cool
